Following the announcement of One Mind’s creation of the Guiding Council of One Mind at Work, the organization has introduced the One Mind at Work Scientific Advisors. Comprised of some of the world’s top brain scientists and business researchers, the Scientific Advisors will help the One Mind at Work team further its mission to develop and implement gold-standard practices for workplace mental health and wellbeing.
The Scientific Advisors will recommend and oversee One Mind at Work’s research studies as well as working to publish the findings into actionable insight, in order for members to digest and enact among their institutions. Additionally, the Committee will partner with One Mind at Work member companies and produce case studies on their behalf, while also testing the One Mind at Work strategic plan against scientific evidence.
The six-person team will serve a three-year term. The Scientific Advisors are chaired by Alyson Meister, PhD, Professor of Leadership and Organizational Behavior at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) Business School, and include the following academic leaders who represent a diversity of thought, perspective, geography, and function.
Kathleen Pike, PhD – Professor of Psychology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Director, Columbia-WHO Center for Global Mental Health and Chair, Faculty Steering Committee for Global Mental Health Programs at Columbia.
Carrie Bearden, PhD – Director of the Staglin Music Festival Center for the Assessment and Prevention of Prodromal States (CAPPS) at University of California, Los Angeles.
Bonnie Cheng, PhD – Associate Professor of Management and Strategy, Hong Kong University Business School Eric Nestler, MD, PhD – Nash Family Professor of Neuroscience, Director, the Friedman Brain Institute, and Dean for Academic and Scientific Affairs, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Jan-Emmanuel de Neve, PhD – Director of the Wellbeing Research Centre, Professor of Economics and Behavioral Science, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
